ESR Goes Peanut Free

Edwin S. Richards Elementary School now has students who have a serious allergy to peanuts, know as Anaphylaxis. Anaphylaxis is a serious allergic reaction that can be life threatening. Food is the most common cause of anaphylaxis, but insect stings, medicine, latex, or exercise can also cause a reaction. None of us want to see any of our students in this serious, life-threatening situation. As such we are making ESR a “Peanut Aware Zone”.. Please help us keep our school safe for all students by following these simple rules:

1. do not send or bring any peanuts or peanut products into the school
2. if you or your child eats peanut butter before coming to school please make sure hands and
face are washed.
3. do not share any food at school.
